Choosing a driving instructor

When choosing your driving instructor it is important to confirm they are a fully qualified, approved driving instructor (ADI) rather than a trainee, potential driving instructor, a PDI?

                ADI's are fully qualified driving instructors and must have                 their green badge certificate displayed in the instruction                   car windscreen while teaching you.

                A PDI is a trainee driving instructor given a pink                               triangular badge for up to six months to learn to                               instruct before their qualifying test.

Many PDI's, about 2 out of 3 do not pass this important qualifying ADI part 3 test.

For this reason it is advisable to choose a fully qualified, Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) to ensure you receive the best standard of training and optimum chance of passing your test.

A2B Driving School instructors;

  • Are registered with the DVSA,

  • Have passed advanced criminal record bureau check (CRB),

  • Passed tough theory and practical driving tests following a test of their ability to give instruction,

  • Display a green ADI identification certificate on the windscreen of the tuition vechicle.

  • Maintain a high standard of instruction – DVSA check this standard regularly.
